Welcome back to yet another blog post everyone! Today’s post is going to be fun facts… about ME! ๐Ÿ˜€
I am going to list 10 random / weird facts about myself; this post will not be about my loving family and friends, or anything too personal- I do not intend to shove an autobiography or memoir down your throat, but rather let you all familiarize yourself with me first, by being informed fruitless facts! This post is going to be very light and fun with a great deal of pictures and videos, so lets dive right in!

Fact One (English): I can rotate my hand 360 degrees
Did you know an owl can rotate it’s head 270 degrees? Well I can do that too —with my HAND PLUS 90 DEGREES! I saw someone do it on television when I was younger, and I thought to myself: *I would be considered SO cool if I could do that* —and so 9-year-old Rushi taught herself to rotate her hand 360 degrees, and impress her friends… except no one was ever impressed. Regardless, I always thought this trick was cool, so watch this video of me to see the trick… and don’t forget to be impressed! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fait Deux (French): I can sing the alphabet backwards in under 10 seconds
When I was in grade 7, my dad and I decided to have a competition on who could learn the alphabet backwards first. However, it didn’t take much time for both of us to learn the alphabet backwards, so we decided to make the competition more interesting by making it a competition on who could recite the alphabet backwards the fastest. Due to our competitive nature, we both learned how to recite the alphabet backwards in under 10 seconds, and because I had practiced it so many times when I was younger, it is now forever ingrained in my head… so thank you dad for this unnecessary knowledge / ability. Here is a video for people who want to see me in action:

Hecho Tres (Spanish): I love Cards
I can play cards any time, any day, and anywhere; I can play cards 24-7 and not get bored. I don’t know what it is, but I LOVE playing cards… and board games too! In fact, I actually prefer playing cards and board games with friends and family more than going out or having a ‘night out’; To be honest, I rarely go out— You will always find me at home or at school or at work, and I have strangely grown to love this routine.

เฆšเฆพเฆฐ (Bangla): Magic Obsession
Swiftly transitioning from cards, I also have a huge obsession with magic tricks! When I was younger, I use to watch this show on television that taught you fun magic tricks and I was in deep love with that show… I never missed an episode! Most children watched ‘Dora’ or ‘Barney’ growing up, and don’t get me wrong, I watched ‘Dora’ and ‘Barney’ growing up too, but alongside learning Spanish and the life lessons Barney taught, I also highly enjoyed learning how to fool people. ๐Ÿ™‚ Whenever my parents would invite guests to our home, the first thing I would do was say “Hi” and once the guests were seated, I would then proceed to show them a magic trick… and it wouldn’t just be any simple card trick, it would be really cool tricks that would blow your mind coming from a child! Sometimes it would involve liquids and glass cups, so I always had to be prepared and made sure the tricks always went smooth, I didn’t play around— I took my magic very seriously. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Looking back I feel kind of bad for my parents and our all our guests for “forcing” them to watch my magic, but at the same time I have no regrets! ๐Ÿ˜‰ The only regret I have is forgetting a lot of the tricks I learned; I had initially wrote them all down in a book (that is how dedicated I was), but when my family moved houses, that book disappeared from my life and I had got too busy to continue practicing my tricks. But to end this fact on a good note, I still remember some of the less difficult tricks I had learned as a child, and if I am Facebook friends with you, then you might have seen me recently upload a video of a magic trick that I did for my sister! ๐Ÿ™‚

์‚ฌ์‹ค 5 (Korean): Pool / Billiard Obsession
I realized that I love and am obsessed with a great number of commodities and activities… well here is another: POOL— or I guess the more formal name would be Billiards. Last year I got taught how to play it, and since then I have been playing it at least once a week at my school after class, and I loveeeee it!

Tatsache Sechs (German): I am very open-minded

I am an extremely open minded person when it comes to just about anything… clothes, food, culture, music, activities, movies / shows, shoes etc. I will give you multiple examples in different domains; Lets start with music… In high school I listened to Screamo music for about a week or two, and then decided it wasn’t for me. In terms of food, I am very open to trying ANYTHING, before I judge it— I have even tried pig intestines… it was actually extremely horrible and I will never try it again, but at least I tried it before I judged it! My mom was actually the one who ordered it, she saw a table next to us having it and said “If they can enjoy that, why can’t we?” So she is actually more open minded than I am, but I guess I get that trait from her. ๐Ÿ™‚ Moving onto movies / shows, my roommate from first year got me into watching Korean dramas and I actually love it! I wish I knew the language but I constantly read the subtitles and still enjoy it. I use to watch Japanese anime with subtitles too, and sometimes I watch the most random independent no “big name” films I come across; I of course love love love watching the mainstream Blockbuster Hollywood hits… Bollywood hits even, but I am a curious person who enjoys to go beyond that sometimes. Next domain is fashion, I have a variety of clothes in a variety of styles; I listed shoes as an example above because I am very open minded even with shoes! Please refer to the video below… I will however point out the fact that I was only able to wear those shoes twice in my life before my mom threw them out— it was probably for the best, and you will most likely agree after you watch this video hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ :

Fatto Sette (Italian): I love drums
Even though I am musically gifted at playing the Triangle ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜€ … an instrument I wish I knew how to play is the drums! I find drums very loud and powerful, something I identify my personality with ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜› hehehehe!

ไบ‹ๅฎžๅ…ซ (Chinese): Badminton is and always will be my favourite sport
Badminton is life! ๐Ÿ˜€ It was also the only one sport I got multiple awards from, when I was in high school, and that says a lot because I was pretty sedentary in high school… but clearly not for Badminton! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ™‚

เคคเคฅเฅเคฏ เคจเฅŒ (Hindi): Rice and Seafood are my favourite
Rice and seafood are among my top favourite foods; I love myself some great fish and some nice warm rice, and I am not just talking about sushi… even though I do love sushi (I was destined to love sushi, it rhymes with my name)— but in all seriousness seafood is FAAAANNTASSTICCCC! I might as well also mention that I love hot sauce and put it on EVERYTHING, but I am not as intemperate as you may think; I work as a part-time waitress and I have seen some people go crazy with hot sauce and carry their own with them, I am not that excessive but I do love it!

Fakt dziesiฤ™ฤ‡ (Polish): My love for Harry Potter and art
It all started with an art contest in grade 6…our class was handed flyers for ‘National Engineering Week Art Contest’ which was a nation-wide art contest for children in upper elementary school- it was of course optional to enter, and the theme of the contest was to draw what we thought our future cities would look like- I don’t think anyone from my school ended up entering the contest, although I had heard numerous ideas about drawing “flying cars” from my classmates. I decided that I wanted to enter the contest; I had put a huge deal of thought on what I should draw…my drawing skills were okay, but I think what won the judges over was my idea: I made a city with battery powered cars, electric trains and electric buses, and then on the side of the paper beside my drawing, I wrote a huge paragraph explanation on how oil is going to run out one day and we won’t be able to rely on natural gas for transportation anymore, hence we will need alternatives like battery powered cars, electric trains and electric buses. I am sure my description was not as polished, but they understood my idea and I ended up placing second place in all of Canada! I still don’t know who first place was or what he/she drew, but coming in second place changed my life and made me the crazy Harry Potter loving woman I am today; The second place prize was winning the entire set of Harry Potter books, whereas the first place winner had a different prize. I am sure first place had an amazing prize too, but the winner definitely missed out on entering this completely different reality and intense journey of ‘The Boy Who Lived’, as well as entering the greatest and most united fandom in the history of fandoms. If I meet someone who loves Harry Potter, they are instantly a friend, I don’t even have to know their name. One of my first best friends in middle school and I actually became really good friends for the sole reason of bonding over Harry Potter. Another example is when I went to Europe with my family, we were with a tour group full of strangers from all over North America, it was beneficial to get to know everyone and all the kids my age since we would all constantly be together for the following two weeks… well let me tell you, Harry Potter was there to help me again in order to bond with and make new friends- It’s such an easy topic to converse on! Books are powerful tools… especially when you are interested in what you are reading, because that knowledge can go a long way- whether it expands your comprehension on different subject matters and benefits your cognitive skills or whether it simply aids you in your social life! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Either way, books are great and Hermione Granger is my favourite. ๐Ÿ™‚

BONUS FACT!
Fact labing (Filipino): Famous for Volunteering

I have come on the local newspaper (front page) multiple times when I was in high school because I LOVED volunteering and still do… giving is essentially receiving, it is the best feeling in the world knowing that you are doing something for the betterment of society. I believe that we all have a path in life, and that it all integrates into each and every single of us to give back to our planet in some way and form. And I believe that the younger we are, the easier it is to make an impact… so I would advise and want for each and every one of us to use our potential in some way, to make a contribution to humanity.

ย  ย ย

I think that was a good note to conclude on… I could talk all day about myself and give you 50 more useless facts such as…
FACT 12: My favourite colour is Yellow! It always has been since the day I was born and saw the sun rise! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜›

These facts do not add any value to your life, so I am going to stop listing them before I think of more!

Anyway, that will be it for my post today! Hope you all got to know me a little bit more! Don’t forget to be kind and spread love!

Love,

Rushi xo
