Okay be honest with me… is the caption too much? If you answered ‘NEVER’ then we can be best friends! Truthfully I came to plan and slay todays challenges for Day 5 of Miss World Canada. That means there are just two days left of the 2020 edition of this years pageant! I am giddy with excitement, but I won’t keep all the fun to myself. Let’s go through what the days adventures held in store for us delegates.
We started the day off by preparing for our evening gown and swimwear photoshoots. These outfits did not have to be our competition outfits which allowed for a little bit of room to have fun and be creative in the shoot I felt. After all, I have been practicing my modeling and posing thanks to Lomer Photography and John from ClearlyImAPhotographer. The shots will be available within the next few days to show off to you all! I wore my custom made Debbie Carrol Designs gown with a pair of matching Perla’s Fashions earrings. I went with a simple black bikini, borrowed from gal pal Tessa Johnston, and a long dangly pair of earrings also from Perla’s. A day well spent in my books!
With no time to waste I went to my room and prepared for my three minute interview with our panel of judges. I felt quite calm knowing that I was comfortable with the mindset I had been preparing for so long. I wore a yellow Lavish Alive cocktail dress from Nordstrom Canada and paired it with a pearl earring and pair of white close-toed pumps. Complimented with a high-bun and I was ready to rock. Honestly I felt like the judges truly got to see my personality and charisma shine in the interview and that is exactly what I hoped for. Now to trust the judging process!
Am I going too quickly for you? Let’s do a little recap: gown photoshoot, swim photoshoot, interview. Okay great now that everyone is on the same page let’s move on to preparing for the preliminary competition! Prior to going down in our groups I received some pretty incredible news. I found out that I was in the top six for the fitness competition. The fitness fast track depends on the combined scores of the fitness competition and the swimwear walk. This meant I was a step closer to this award. One that I have been working towards for many months with my trainer Sean!
Moving right along to discuss the preliminary competition! Our very own Sammy hosted the competition and we were welcomed with over ten thousand online viewers in this COVID-19 safe edition of the competition. To watch the swimwear, evening gown, and fashion show visit the Miss World Canada Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/missworldcanadaofficial. We all got to wear a gorgeous bright green bikini with fringe for swimwear. My evening gown was a soft yellow/champagne colour fitted gown from Nina Couture in Mississauga. Lastly, I wore a Ray Ekaj body suit and red skirt with the longest train I have ever seen in my life. No seriously… I don’t think I’ll even have a train that long on my wedding day!
All in all I am VERY proud of my preliminary competition performance and I hope YOU enjoyed watching the pageant as well. Even if you are from the comfort of your own home I feel like we can all feel the energy and support of our loved ones. Keep in touch and check back in tomorrow for Day 6 of the Miss World Canada 2020 competition!
