At the age of thirteen, I started modelling until about seventeen. Once I was older, my focus was towards school. Modelling in photo shoots, fashion shows, and attending casting calls was an amazing experience because it taught me the importance of how to be confident, professional, and presentable.
I think that the best way for a girl to be confident is to find something that she loves doing. I loved being on stage from a younge age. I’m so excited to be part of Miss World Canada this year as I have dreamt of being in a pageant since watching the Miss Universe Canada competition in 2012. Overall, the thing that I loved most about modelling was seeing others people creative work come to life. Modelling helped me enter pageantry because of my experience with being on stage. In 2014, I walked in a fashion show that focused on creating eco-friendly clothing known as Connect Beauty. My beauty with a purpose project focuses on health and environment.
In 2015, I opened and closed for Mani Jassal’s fashion show at the start of her career. She is a Toronto fashion designer. Fast forward to 2019 she now has a following of 148k plus on Instagram.
