Every year on Canada day, I  explore the way different cities celebrate Canada’s independence. This year I celebrated Canada’s day with Vaughan at the Boyd Conservation Area. While celebrating at the venue, I got to meet friendly people who serve the city, like the York Region Police Department, the York Region Fire Department, and the Vaughan volunteer workers. I also had the opportunity to present and discuss my Beauty With A Purpose project to the local and regional councillor of Vaughan, Sunder Singh. While discussing with her I also introduced to her Jonathan’s Treehouse, the foundation for neurodiversed children. During my time at Vaughan, I met and interacted with different families and children that told me more about how they celebrate and the city itself. Despite the fact that we were in a new area, and that we were celebrating, my family and I took time to clean up the area as much as we could to keep the environment clean. Later that night, just like every year, I ended Canada’s day in Square One Celebration Square, where I. interacted with families and watched the fireworks with everyone else.

What a perfect way to celebrate an amazing day!
